FAQ

You’ve got questions? We’ve got answers.

Here are our most Frequently Asked Questions.

How long have you been videographers?

We’ve been making films for 10+ years, and specifically wedding films for over 7 years.

Where are you based out of?

Right now we are transitioning into life on the road, which means we’re based wherever our adventures and work takes us! Most of our weddings and elopements are based in the Rocky Mountains (AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, NM, UT, and WY) and the Pacific Northwest (WA, OR, CA). However, we are ALWAYS up to travel to new places!

Do you give RAW footage?

We do not. Editing is half of the magic when we tell your story. Without this huge step, the film is only halfway done.

How does payment work?

We require a 25% retainer to hold your spot in our calendar, and the remaining 75% is due 1 month in advance of your scheduled day. We’ve had some pay the full amount up front, and others make 3 separate payments to cover the amount. We are happy to work with your financial schedule so you are able to make your wedding film dreams come true!

What if there’s bad weather?

We always encourage you to embrace whatever weather comes our way, because of how beautiful the films turn out in those conditions. If it’s so bad that it would make for an awful time, or if it would ruin our gear, then we will reschedule.

Rescheduling and cancellations?

If you’ve already put a deposit down on a date, you can reschedule as long as the new date works for us. In the event you must cancel, your deposit will be forfeited and you will need to let us know via text or email that you’re cancelling.

What about drone shots?

We love our drone and the aerial footage it shoots for us. If we are in a place where we are able to fly it (both legally and safely), and if we feel it will add to the film, there’s a very good chance we will fly it. Ultimately it’s up to us, but we do love to use it when we can!

Some instances when we have been unable to fly the drone (even when we’ve wanted to so badly because we knew the footage would be amazing) include: Rules and Regulations set by the FAA and/or specific locations, bad weather, and certain circumstances when there are privacy concerns.

Will you both be filming?

Almost always, yes! Not only do we love spending time together while we create our films, but we are also able to capture two different perspectives, which creates much more depth for your final film.

How long will my film be?

We don’t believe in putting time restrictions on our films because every story is so unique. Typically though, a full wedding/elopement film ranges between 6-12 minutes.

What should we wear?

If you’re unsure of what to wear, we’ve got a guide we will send over to you! (This usually applies to non-wedding films. We would hope you know what you’re wearing on your wedding day!)

Can you photoshop us?

We are all about natural, candid beauty, but we always do our absolute best to make sure we film you at flattering angles. However, if there is something you are especially self-conscious about, let us know beforehand and we’ll be extra aware of that throughout the shoot/the day, and pose you accordingly.

What happens if you can’t make it to our wedding?

If something happens that is out of our control (illness, death, act of god, etc) we will do our absolute best to find replacement filmmaker, that we trust and has a similar style, to take our place. But if we cannot make it to your wedding, your money will be refunded.

Do you include audio?

Yes! We incorporate as much audio into our films as possible. It gives the film another layer and makes the story more complete.
